Drift silently over the golden Maasai Mara at dawn — one of the most extraordinary experiences Africa has to offer. As the sun rises over the Oloololo Escarpment, your balloon lifts off from the Mara plains and carries you silently above the herds below. Wildebeest, zebra, elephant and giraffe scatter across the landscape as lion prides begin their morning.
After one hour aloft, your pilot guides you to a gentle landing on the plain. A white-tablecloth champagne breakfast is laid out in the bush — crystal glasses, fresh fruit and the smell of Africa all around you. This three-day package combines the balloon experience with full game drives morning and evening.
Depart Wilson Airport for the Mara airstrip. Arrive in time for a welcome game drive as the afternoon light turns golden. The Mara plains are your home for the next three days.
The alarm sounds at 4:30am. Transfer to the balloon launch site and lift off at first light — one hour above the Mara as Africa wakes below you. After landing, a champagne bush breakfast is served on the plain. Return to the lodge for a rest, then afternoon game drive focused on the Mara's famous Big Cat population.
